Photo Rejuvenation (Photofacials) Toronto

As we age, our skin becomes imperfect, wrinkly, and at times it develops uneven pigmentation (which can be either brown or red). Photo rejuvenation is non-surgical procedure that uses a specific Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), that enters the skin and attracts the undesired pigment or redness. The IPL destroys faults through these particular wavelengths, leading to a healthier and younger looking skin.

Photo Rejuvenation: Treated Conditions

Sharp Light ™ is our IPL machine that has been approved by Health Canada and is used only by our professional medical aestheticians. This procedure can be used on the face, shoulders, arms, and/or hands depending on the issue that the customer comes with.

  • Redness or flushing
  • Uneven pigmentation and hyper pigmentation (Age spots or Sun spots)
  • Enlarged pores
  • Wrinkles
  • Broken capillaries or spider veins
  • Sun-induced freckles (on the hand, chest, and/or face)
  • Any mild skin texture issues

Common questions

Our intention is to ensure that each customer takes note of the additional information on our website to the consultation that will take place in person, where all of the benefits as well as the risks and substitutes can be discussed.

Q: How does Photo Rejuvenation work?

A: Photo Rejuvenation is a process that is activated through the specific Intense Pulsed Light. These wavelengths stimulate fibroblasts, which are the cells in the dermis layer of the skin where collagen itself is produced. This procedure is non-invasive and painless as the heat penetrates the skin layer and allows the light to treat any of the listed conditions safely.

Q: How many Photo Rejuvenation treatments will I need?

A: Everyone's skin is quite different, which means that until your consultation takes place the number of treatments that are required for your specific condition is not definite. Even so, an average of 3-8 treatments every 2-6 weeks is required. To give an example, when treating sun damaged skin or hyper pigmentation, it usually takes 1-3 treatments; however, conditions such as broken capillaries or flushing of the skin usually require up to 8 treatments.

Q: What do I do after Photo Rejuvenation?

A: After your treatment(s), you must ensure that you do not apply any make up for at least 72 hours. You must also protect the skin by applying an SPF 30+ because over heating and over sweating can lead to some other damages. It is quite important to hydrate the skin by simply applying a soothing gel. Do not pick at any crustings on your skin. Simply take care of it and be patient throughout the process!

I've never tried laser treatment in my life and actually I was kinda skeptical. I started with my Brazilian and as soon as I got a result after my second treatment I bought a package for my full legs. Guys, you are amazing! Thank you kindly for your friendly atmosphere and professional staff. I'm so excited about my results.
Thank you so much Royal Aesthetic Club! Good luck, guys!

I came to Royal Aesthetic Spa for the first time and got a Microdermabrasion treatment. Before I went in, my skin was rough and felt very unclean and I couldn’t do anything about it for many months. Getting inflamed pores on a regular basis was normal. However, after my very first treatment I could see some outstanding results. My skin began to feel like baby’s skin, moisturized and I felt very clean. Thank you RAC I will definitely continue this treatment because I was very happy with my results!
